Reviving Crushed Hallway Traffic Lanes

The Problem

A busy household of five, plus two large dogs, had completely flattened and discoloured the carpet in their main hallway. The carpet looked grey and felt hard and sticky to the touch.

Our Process

The 'stickiness' was caused by a previous cleaner who didn't rinse out their soap. We applied a specialized acidic neutralizing rinse to break down the old soapy residue. We then utilized a mechanical agitator to lift the flattened pile, followed by a slow, high-pressure steam extraction to flush the accumulated dog oils and dirt.

The Result

The carpet was left soft, fluffy, and pH-balanced. The grey traffic lane was eliminated, and because all soap residue was removed, the carpet will stay cleaner for much longer.

"Our hallway looks brand new. It's soft to walk on again and doesn't have that crunchy feeling it had after the last company cleaned it." — The Smith Family, Howick
